Why is cowboys and aliens unrated

He does bear an uncanny resemblance to Liev Schreiber, but I assure you, they are 2 completely different people. Lone amnesic cowboy Jake Lonergan Daniel Craig and the mysterious bracelet on his left wrist may be the Old West town of Absolution's only hope to fight off aliens who are abducting humans in preparation for taking over the Earth, that is, if powerful cattleman Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde Harrison Ford , local Sheriff John Taggart Keith Carradine , a group of ruthless outlaws, a tribe of Apache warriors, and a mysterious woman named Ella Swenson Olivia Wilde don't kill Jake and each other first.

Once inside the massive alien vessel, Jake and Ella release the captive humans. Jake wants to get out of the vessel immediately, but Ella reminds him that the reason she came is to kill the aliens, destroy their ship, and prevent them from taking over the planet. She gets Jake to release the bracelet and give it to her. While Jake stands guard, she climbs into the ship's core with it.

One of the aliens catches Jake and straps him to a table. Just as the alien is about to cut Jake open, Dolarhyde appears and, together, they succeed in destroying the creature by setting it on fire.

Realizing that the ship is powering up for take off, Jake and Dolarhyde evacuate. They get outside just as the ship takes off. Inside the core, Ella hugs the bracelet to her chest and sets it off, the explosion killing her and destroying the spaceship. As the captives' memories return, the townfolk waiting outside rush to embrace them.

Jake returns to his cabin, but there is only a hummingbird to greet him. No Alice. In the days that follow, the town rebuilds itself. Dolarhyde, now a changed man, assures his son Percy Paul Dano that things are going to change in Absolution now that the railroad is coming through, and he makes Percy his partner. In the final scene, Jake rides through town on his horse, stopping only to say goodbye to Colonel Dolarhyde and Sheriff Taggart who agree that they saw Jake Lonergan die in the explosion, insinuating that Jake is no longer a wanted man in Absolution, but Jake rides out of town anyway.

Although there is not a lot of new dialog; the Dolarhydes, mostly Percy, come across a lot nicer. In total the extended version runs approximately 17 minutes longer than the theatrical version. Ella gets resurrected when the Chiricahua Apache Native Americans dumped Ella's body on a fire which Ella is revealed as an extra terrestrial, not human.
